The Chronicle of Higher Education seeks a talented Market Research Manager to join its Audience Development and Marketing teams. The Market Research Manager will be part of a new and growing effort to capture market data and to gather business intelligence. S/he will conduct primary and secondary research, both quantitative and qualitative to support the strategic revenue and editorial, audience development and advertising readership goals of the company. This position will support The Chronicle's strategic and product development processes by adding an organized, statistical and insightful approach to the research. A can-do-attitude, with the ability to energize and work with cross-functional teams is required. Primary responsibilities include leading quantitative research inquiries including survey design, and execution. This position will also be responsible for gathering competitive market intelligence on audience and advertising trends and strategies. Please note that this is a non-supervisory position. The ideal candidate will possess excellent analytical and problem solving skills, with a track record of delivering insightful answers to challenging problems. They will have excellent writing skills and be comfortable creating graphical representations of data, have strong training in survey design and quantitative research methods. A bachelor’s degree is required for this position along with a minimum of 5 years’ applicable experience.
